It's good for archival purposes. A binder full of paper doesn't get misplaced as easily as a CD. And it's human-readable, which may not be much of a concern nowadays, but I've worked with 20 year-old code that I'd probably have had a hard time reading if it was archived in electronic form. Also, if you really need to re-enter from a hardcopy, use OCR. |
