#152885 - data aquisition system of a satellite
Responding to: ???'s previous message
thank u for taking the time to read my message...
as for my project it is a device that takes information from four digital inputs(gps, magnetometer, battery status and 8 discrete digital i/p's(things that can be expressed by either a 1 or a zero.)) and 8 analog i/p's.the device will read each input and send it to the transmitter which will send it to a pc on which a software will display the results.

the 4 digital i/p's are connected to 4 buffers that o/p's to a bus connected to port zero, the selection of the four buffers is controlled by 4 selection pins on port 2(active low).

the 8 analog i/p's are connected to a mux who's selection is controlled by 3 selection pins on port two, and the o/p goes to an A/D converter which outputs to port 1 and is controlled by 4 pins on port 3.

as u can see we used all 8 pins of port 0----digital i/p's
all 8 pins of port 1----A/D converter i/p
7 pins of port 2----selection
6 pins of port 3(4 to control A/D and 2 for wireless transmission)

which leaves me 3 empty pins, and the following tasks still needs to be done:
1-get the device to do a self diagnosis on it self on startup and give a message(either ready or error)
2-put leds to indicate which i/p is being sent at the moment(D1,D2,D3,D4 or A).

given that im still working on the wireless transmission task.

sorry it took me so long to reply but i was trying to get my supervisor to give me more time.
hope that's enough information :D
any help would be gr8...
Thnx for ur time
