#153001 - aside from internal memory test and port checks Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You can probably devise a simple loopback for the serial port(s) just to ensure they are working, if you wish. If you have two serial ports, then you can probably benefit from using one channel to communicate with the other, and, perhaps, test one timer by setting an interrupt coinciding with competion of transmit and receive, of a string, timed by an otherwise uninvolved timer.
Aside from CRC checking your code body, I can't immediately think of anything you can do with the basic 8052. This all adds external hardware, and you'd probably not do that in a commercial application. However, if this is an education project, it's a good thing to give it a try. RE |
