Maxim claim that their MAXQ series is a MIPS/mW class leader. A similar calculation for the MAXQ2000 looks like this:
VDD = 1.8V Clock = 20MHz, most instructions take one clock cycle. Current = 6.5mA typ 1.8V * 6.5mA / 20MHz = 585 pJ / clock If the MAXQ really does one instruction per clock, I think it will edge the C8051F920. |
