How about enclosing the whole AD7730 in a grounded metal enclosure? is this necessary or is it an overkill as the unit is working better than I dreamed for? I put it in 24 bit mode and displayed the 3 bytes on LCD and I managed to get 16 bit of precision. Having read Erik's posts about 16 bit adcs I thought my circuit is perfect for home made double sided board. So I put the AD7730 in 16 bit mode and it worked happily ever after. I'm using 100kg load cell and I have a resolution of 1.5gm. too good to be true! Mahmood |
