...as its Ube is about 1.4V. And driving a Darlington by the very weak pull-up, which isn't even properly specified? No, I wouldn't do that. More, the active state of a port of an 8051 is low state, because the reset forces them to high state. Also, why driving something with high state, when the 8051 can sink so much more current than source??
