#155939 - This is outright incorrect.
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The only thing one could say about certain printers is that in a day gone by "almost all printers designed for PC use" supported SPP mode from a DB25 connector on a back of a PC box.

These days there are far less of that kind of printer available for PCs with many of the types having moved on to USB connections, WinPrinter types (printer has no character mode at all) and Ethernet connectivity.

In the embedded world the available choices for printers and printer mechanisms varies widely and if you can think up a type of interface you are likely to find a mechanism that uses that interface. There is no substitute here for research to first find the suitable type of printing mechanism and study data sheets to see what interfaces are available from the manufacturer. Only then is one ready to begin investigation of how to attach said mechanism to your MCU hardware.
