I feel for bank token printing application even a small dot matrix printer will do. If thermal printer is required, then there are several makes available. You can search in web for fujitsu, APS, Kyocera, TDK etc. Normally a 1" printer is sufficient for this application.

TDK & Kyocera offer only Print Heads. We have to develop our own mechanism with motor.

Fujitsu and APS offer Printer with mechanism and driver board(normally with RS232/USB interface).
