#156981 - Other Possible Suggestions...Clarify Objectives?
Responding to: ???'s previous message

Could you perhaps clarify your objectives further?

If your goal is to have "some demo hardware with a display and BASIC interpreter", from the perspective of just wanting to learn about micros and languages higher than assembly code, then perhaps you may need to consider these others:

1. BASIC Stamps: There are lots of variations of these and learning systems that make LCD (and other hardware) interfaces very simple; example code exists all over the internet

2. PICAxe: Similiar to above, but another flavor of microcontroller. They're easy to get running also.

Just some other options...

At any rate, good luck, and be sure to get good hardware so you don't spend all your time debugging the hardware instead of learning! (Not fun!)
