#156992 - OK so it is 2K
Responding to: ???'s previous message
So that makes 10K. So find a 32K part. or use a 2K part as aP/S2 Keyboard interface. NXP has an app note on it.
A character LCD in place of, or in addition to the serial port of BASIC52 is not that much code. It is geared towards a dumb terminal.
It is his project. most of it is do-able as he described. Very useful as a development system, maybe not. I played with BASIC52 20 years ago, so who am I to talk. It really depends on what he wants out of it. As far as just getting a monitor, a chip with a cheap JTAG or dongle is more useful ( In may opinion).
