#157474 - We have to wonder ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What isn't working?
If you have the part set up as an 8051, with a functional program in the EPROM, what you should probably do, if and only if the ROM/EPROM on the 8032 board works OK, is to plug that ROM into the OKI part (better yet, copy it to another EPROM first!) and only then plug the OKI part into the 8032 board, if they're the same package. You then should see the same result that you get with the 8032. An 8032 normally is an 8052 with the ROM disabled by virtue of the nEA pin being held low. This was often done with otherwise faulty or simply overrun masked-ROM parts. With nEA grounded they're 803x's instead of 805x's. Read the datasheet very carefully. Be sure the EPROM is fast enough, and that you've set up all the SFR's that have to be set up before things work right. Good luck! RE |
