I agree with Mr. Kunal Kandekar and his suggestion of using the 8259 IC as a solution to your problem.

Even though the 8259 integrated circuit has been around for over twenty years it is quite formidable compared to the newer integrated circuits of today.

It offers a simple soultion to a nasty problem. The newer solution require you to learn newer hardware and software in order to solve a problem.

Old is good.
