Accordding to the data sheet, the 80c310 has an internal reset, so perhaps you are fooled into thinking the max707 works only at power on, and is failing in power dip. Maybe it always fails.
Does the 80c310 see reset if you invoke manual reset on Max707 ?? how about if you connect 80c310 reset to +5 (don't hurt the max707, put a 100ohm resistor between its output (pin 8) and the 80c310. |
