I'd like to use a 87c51 as a stand alone controller, i.e. no eprom, ram, 373 etc, just a plain controller that I can use to output and input bytes on the four ports (much like one would use a PIC). I haven't done this before and I'd appreciate any advice on this particular method of implementing the 87c51.
