I want to make a remark, as some people here at this message board reccomment many times to start off with the P89C51Rx2. This part is not easibly available in single quantity and at reasonable price at every electronics store at the corner (here in Holland, and I think the same is true in some other countries as well).
More easy to get are the "normal" Atmel AT89C51 (4k flash) , AT89C52 (8k flash) or AT89S8252 (8k program flash and 2k data flash, in-circuit programmable).

Does someone know HOW to get single Rx2's at REASONABLE price???
