#19670 - Helped me find 40 ns instruction time |
Thank you for your comments. My Dallas chip analysis is purely theoretic Erik.
Scott, I have just checked Cygnus chips, and these really do appear to be just the speed increase I was hoping for. I would increase my theoretic single instruction cycle from 121 ns to 40 ns (triple my current speed). Plus I checked the numbers of instruction cycles needed for the operation codes I anticipate using, and there is basically no difference, which is very good. I am now thinking on the purchase of the C8051F020DK development package for the PC, with a test chip soldered onto it (later I need to find a way to solder these to a custom board (by hand?)
