Yes there is video out there for R/C planes. There are commercial wireless video cameras that can be used, and ham radio folks have been doing it their way for awhile.

An episode of Scientific American Frontiers within the past year showed model planes with video, the smallest being about the size of a paperback book! Neat stuff when you've got a military project development budget!

I personally have the same problem as you Craig, my R/C sailplane has been bent more than once when I turned left when I should have turned right.
