I dont think you should feel sorry.
Basically your question is very very basic. It seems you do not have any idea about micro controllers and other logic electronics. We even do not know any background information about your knowledge. If you are student of electronics than better read your books carefully, or ask to your teacher because here at this forum discussions are bit more advance where people knows the basics (atleast).

If you are hobbyest, then better to buy some books like "microprocessors and digital systems" written by Douglas V. Hall. This book would quickly give you most informatoins you require and will require in future. Once you understand the basics, you are welcome to this forum when your questions will make more sense.
