#2645 - RE: How to burn software into chips ?? |
Bret,
I sent you some direct email on the Philips information. My sale contact recommended a very nice rapid development system sold by PHYTEC.COM: http://www.phytec.com/New%20Site/pC89C591.html At $199 you get a FLASH 8051 with everything including CAN-bus and the software CD to support program downloads. Its higher than the other device and its certainly looks boundless to me. But hold on... http://www.phytec.com/New%20Site/pC89C51Rx2.html for $179 you can get the same system with an RX2 micro. (faster - does a divide by 6 rather than divide by 12 if you enable that via sfr). I ca't believe they make it cheaper! Its a better micro but it doesn't require some of the additional programming circuitry of the old micro - the surprise is that they pass on the savings... -Jay C. Box |
