Try PLX Technologies. The PLX9054, 9056 are pretty good PCI interface chips. Have a look at TI's 64x series of DSPs which have PCI interface as well. If you want programmable logic, Xilinx has some FPGAs and associated PCI Intellectual Property you can use with their chips. Good Luck
