I see how this alters things quite a bit. The problem is, of course, that I was not able to find this out for myself.... You could have posted this rebuttal/explanation earlier, along with your own views on what is 'ugly' or not. Incidentally, I don't see that Nic was especially ugly towards you and his question was about style of coding, not the usefulness of your code.

I do agree with you that for a small number of locations it would be more efficient not to use a loop.
