I get all my samples for free, i just ask for free samples from my distributor and i get them in varying times.
I got 20 pic16f876
I got 6 atmels AT89S8252
I got 2 philips ones
I got free samples of most surface mount resistors and capacitors.
Lots of free xtals also.
