Hello there

I'm working with 8880 DTMF Transceiver chip and going through the data sheet. 8880 has a feature of Call Progress in which Frequencies presented to the input, which are within the ‘accept’ bandwidth limits of the filter, are presented on IRQ/CP pin serving as the output to be analyzed by the microcontroller. Frequencies whcih are out side the 'accept' bandwidth are rejected and are not presented to the IRQ/CP pin. here are my few concerns.


1- how can i use this feature to detect that the phone call(by generating DTMF signals) i made through this chip has been received by the B-Party on the other end

2- How can i detect various other tones likes Busy signal, Noraml telephone tone or B Party telephone ringing tone.
