#29955 - RE: Laser animation |
Been there, done that too ! My "masterpiece" was a laser graphic system for a commericial company that I designed in my spare time. It used commercial servos and two 8052's, one in a terminal and one in the laser head. We could do all kinds of graphic effects on standard images that we pre-programmed, including scale, rotate, Z-rotate and any combination of those, together with X-Y shift. All at flicker free video speeds with a single 80515 and an "analogue" video processor that I designed from 8 DACS and 8 op-amps. The company went into liquidation a few years ago (after I was paid !)
So it is possible. Yes you need decent laser beams, yes you need decent servos. Steve |
