Many moons ago, I worked for a company called Datagraphix, we made microfiche equipment and our unit printed 500 (132 * 64) pages of text on a microfiche (a postcard sized piece of vesicular film) at a rate of 2 fiche per minute. Visualize the precision 132 characters printed with a line lenght of about 5mm AND done at 1000 pages/minute. I left before the final total, but I guess more than 1000 units were sold.
