#31972 - RE: T89C51RD2 Datasheet Version? |
Stewart:
I acknowledge that the data sheet link I posted was for the RB2/RC2. As a matter of fact I indicated that in my post. I do recommend however that you follow the recommendation to remove the low level PSEN soon after reset. You already tested and saw that the current on the PSEN line does not jump up to the high current level till some after the reset falling edge. This behavior tends to indicate that the RD2 is wanting the same requirement as the RB2/RC2 parts. Just becasue this removal condition is not in the RD2 data sheet does not mean that the RD2 data sheet is the final answer. You may want to contact technical support at the Atmel factory and ask them definitively about this issue. (Note that it is also my experience that you need to get tech suppport to actually go talk to the design engineers becasue on subtle details like this one most tech support people don't know anymore about the parts than you or I!!).
