#3289 - RE: Order in the Forum
Hi All,

Sorry about opening a can of worms. But I tried doing as I stated in the last message I posted with no success. I got the BASIC from the ram ok. But trying to cold start is still giving me a headache. In the manual I have it says two dissimilar things. First in section 1.3 "What happens after reset?" it states that BASIC looks at external memory location 8000h for the baud rate. Then in section 1.8 "Format of an MCS BASIC-52 program" it states that EPROM location 8000h is for storing the type of "PROG" used. Then 8001h contains high byte of baud and 8002h contains low byte of baud. Again, will the BASIC-31 that I have support this feature? I have V1.2. It is located in external EPROM. I am using the 80c31 cpu. I have external memory mapped from 0h to e000h. Can someone please help me with this problem?

Thanks,
Dave Kaleta
