Hey guys

I was'nt my intention to use a 485 chip as a can driver. When Steve wrote "physical layer", I read it as "wires". As far as I had understood this, the use of a dedicaded CAN chip - PCA 82C251 or similar - is mandatory if you want real CAN.

If this is not the issue, it is my gues, that you are better off with a well designed and implemented RS 485 system.
