#35497 - RE: CCD Control |
Hello Félix,
I don't plan to position the film directly over the CCD as it would have to be so close as to make physical contact, and I do not want anything coming into physical contact with the film other than its edges. Also, I don't think I could achieve close enough contact with the CCD to achieve an acceptably low enough level of bluring. Instead, the image from the film will be projected onto the CCD -1:1. Light source will possibly be a colour-corrected tungsten bulb with a rotating RGB dichroic colour-wheel between it and the film. Considered LEDs, although possibly bright enough, I doubt I will achieve an even lighting of the film, and locations of bright/dark spots will vary between R, G, and B passes due to different LED positions. I could compensate for uneven lighting in my software, but then I decrease the system's dynamic-range. Wave-lengths might be an issue with LEDs too, although I haven't really thought in great detail about that. Anyway, lets try and keep to the 8052 side of things here. Any ideas regarding non-8052 parts of the machine are welcome through e-mail. Matt. |
