Hi L?

The CCD I'm using is the TI TC2081. It has no electronic shutter. Looks like I'll be using an ASIC to get the data into a buffer then handle comms with the PC via an 8052 if I go in the direction of building my own eletronics, although I'm currently looking into the suggestions made by Steve.

I will probably use an 8052 anyhow because I still to control the mechanics of the system (1 stepper motor, two DC motors, input from a couple of pots etc.)
