Hi Peter ,

i m coding in assembler not in C
my application is a programmable controller it interpretes something like an Statement List .
but for 1000 instructions i get a scan time like 100 ms on 12 MHz 8052.
the problem is that 8052 is a 1 MIPS machine
a comparable micro like PIC is 5 MIPS .
i wonder why 8052 didnot reach this level in passing 20 years since it was introduced .
Dallas and Cygnal are good but expensive .
