#36766 - RE: higher MIPS for lower -assembler / C |
Mehmet
the problem is that 8052 is a 1 MIPS machine a comparable micro like PIC is 5 MIPS .????? Not true at all.. Pics only run at 5mips on a 20mhz clock.. A few standard 8051 can run at 33mhz (3mips) And clock doubling can increase that. I had to go Seimans c166/st10 for a job where I had to drive an optrex graphic display based on the oki msm5298/5299. I tried to use a 8051 but it was not fast enough to run the display and the application aswell. I recently rewrote (as a test)the app using the cygnal kit I bought ,and it could manage the task okay. The 8051 has many advantages over the PIC.. |
