I jusr read today that the winner of the elector electronic design competition was a chess computer using an atmel 89 series controller and it made great point of the fact that the compiler used was sdcc as the designers could not get a comercial compiler to work properly.It did not really say why other compilers had problems but said something about them not being able to handle recursion in the code which I thought sounded a bit odd.
I just though it was interesting and it would be nice to know what the problem was,to be continued next month.....
