Do I smell an automotive application here? ========================================== Absolutely Andy, I'm working on Steering Gear and Fin Stabilizer Systems for a Ship. So, my tiny boards are incharge of controlling the movements of the Rudder and the Fins of the Ship. They control the Servo Valves which inturn control the hydraulics associated with the monsters. And thats where I get most of the binary inputs from, STarter panel, Hydraulic Oil Tank etc etc. Coming to your caution, can you please elaborate on the harm, the environment can cause on these sensor lines. Its nothing more than a meger contact (ON/OFF). What can go wrong? Warm Regards, Harsha |
