#37681 - RE: Is MCT2E better? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
MCT2E opto-coupler, I understood that it can be used as well for interfacing the 24v Contact sensors to my system with an added advantage of opto-isolation. So, Can I use the MCT2E instead of 1489 (level translator) and get both the advantages?
The isolation advantage only if you power the switch/optocoupler separately. If you run power from your device to the switch, the opto-isolation become opto-illusion. Erik |
