Seems that I don't have much luck today...

Changed all timing to suit the x6 clock. However, part of the circuit (LCD drive) still isn't working. The timing for the LCD is correct, it is accepting the initial configuration stuff (can change the contrast and inverse display in software) but no data (bitmapped characters) appears.

Obviously I suspected a hidden timing problem here as well, so just for the fun of it I used the old (unchanged) 89C51RC+ software HEX-file to program the RC2HBA and changed the X-tal for a half-value type. Guess what: still not working! So there's more problems to overcome.

Philips really have to make things better!
