The thing here is not that I don't like to solve problems. But as you know, problems require to be solved always when there's little or no time for it. Secondly, our regular supplier may have created the biggest problem here as he sold me the uC's as 1-to-1 replacement for the - discontinued - 89C51RC+. Next thing to do obviously is to use an RC2 without the 'H', but so far it took me half a day to come to that bloody conclusion.
