	GAL16V8 will want a "reasonable clock". I looked at the Lattice data sheet for a modern style 16V8 and they do not actually specify a direct clock rise/fall time as a requirement. What they do show, as I cut and pasted below, is a particular rise time specified as a test condition from which other device timings are either derived or measured relative to.
