#3845 - RE: driving LED matrix with 8051: |
The matrix lot that I have been given to work my ..... off, didn't come along with the pin connection or the datasheet. Bloody suppliers around here.
So I first gotta decode it, where are the rows and where are the columns. Its 5X7 , 35 LED matrix, has total 14 pins, 7 at top and 7 at bottom. One pin of each group of 7 is connected to one in the other gourp, so actually there are 12 pins in the matrix, 6 at the top and 6 at the bottom excluding one in each group. 12 pins no way make 35 so......??? No, I think I should exclude 2 common pins from one group rather than one from each, so it makes 7 in one and 5 in the other and 7 X 5 = 35, Eureka................... When I go home this evening, I will do the rest. By the way, Why the hell the macufacturer didn't make it straight, just 5 on one side and 7 on the other side. Babar/ |
