#39305 - Interfacing 2Kx8 RAM to the 8051 |
Hi all,
I am using the 6116 which is a 2Kx8 RAM chip. It needs 10 address lines. And in the application where i intend to use this chip, i am running out of port pins!! so my question is can i use the remaining 6 pins (Either Port 0 or port 1) as general purpose pins, with one pin as a control pin?? Also the access time in the application is noncritical so should i attempt to access the RAM chip serially?? Please advice, Sushil Siddesh |
