#4130 - RE: Negligence |
Steve,
I didn't think we had American Health care. If we want real healthcare, we emigrate. As I understand it, our system functions to remove money from the dying, aged and ill. It would be nice to do bio-med work. It was the big field when I graduated from SMU but I already knew about the pitfalls in complex systems and saw that it was a poor field for microprocessor use. It was for optomists and the unexperienced microprocessor people in those days. Most associates I know that accepted jobs in that field, had never even worked with a microprocessor before. Of course that was about 20 years ago. People have a better grasp today thanks to Microsoft, that complex systems crash. The more complex, the higher the probability of unforeseen scenarios. That's why I went to MBA school, to bleach out my do-good engineering instincts so I wouldn't lose money trying to help society. :) Now I engineer like a shark... looking for weak market niche holders and attacking their markets.
