#4157 - RE: ABS Brakes with 80C552 |
Bad news. I tested my code on teh 80C552 board and...it doesn´t work.(fu@&5 o##!!!!)
I do´n´t know what I´m doing wrong. I have plugged the functions generator output into INT0 and the osciloscope probe into P5.X and I allways get 5V. as output (no matter the frequency of the input). I´ll have to revise it. ----- Jay C. Box wrote: 'What happens when you have only SOME wheels opperating in ABS mode? Does this make the control of the car worse? ' As I can know, all cars (that have ABS sytem) have all their wheels operated under ABS mode. I know that there is a kind on trucks (the ones that have one front axle and two back axles) only have 4 ABS sensors-two of them in the front wheels and two of them in the first back axle- so the 4 back wheels are suposed to work as 2 (when braking). But it depends on the menufacturer. ------ 'Even though the timing is all wheel independent, if one ABS detector fails, don't they shut the whole system down? ' The ABS system has a failure detector. When any failure is detected the ABS system is automatically turned off and the car will brake as if conventional brakes are installed. A little red light will turn on your control panel inside your car. Of course, if the brake fluid reservoir level is too low the ABS system will not work. Have a good weekend, everybody. Victor. |
