I can send you the AutoCAD drawing of the circuit that I normally use for all prototyping - it has on a single board 32K Ram, 32K EPROM, 16 Digital inputs, 16 digital outputs, 8 channel 8Bit ADC, 2 nos 8Bit DACs, LCD interface, MAX232 for communication and uses the 89c51RD2 ISP MCU.

And it has a jumper that allows you run the code in Ram starting from 0x4000 with the Monitor program that resides on the EPROM
