Dear Vinod,

Even with a double sided PCB the size is approximately 200 x 120 mm and trying to do it on a single sided PCB can make it quite large and end up with enormous number of jumpers. It defenitley is not recommended.

And if you have to do anything with MCUs, I dont think you can shy away from double sided PCB's for long. And if you are planning to handle very low level analog signals then even double sided may not take you far - you have to look at 4 layered stuff.
