Bert, I agree that changing operating systems is overkill, I have reread your postings and do not see much information on what you have done to try to fix it. I would reinstall first the font directory , and if that did not help then I would back up all critical files and try to repair the problem . I would not just ignore it as my personal biggest beef with windows is its penchant for snowballing problems. Let us know what you have tried , what version you are using and finally what fixes it. hth Terry
