After getting the pulses from the shaft/wheel and counting the RPM.
The question is how to convert it into a readout that shows speed in real time.

- compare the RPM with lookup table and display the speed from ROM, I think not a good idea.

- do mathematics on RPM and show the result on display. OK but shall it maintain the linearity. I think first developing an RPM vs SPEED curve would be better. Do the auto makers have such characteristic curves of their vehicles.
