Yes, I'm aware of this, however, when the "boss" says specifically not to implement a dummy protection mechanism, you gotta listen to him ;)

This isn't my decision.

However, of all the stupid user things to do, I don't think many would try hooking up a PC and a palm pilot at the same time, then executing a "command" from both at the same time.

If it were my design, I'd dummy proof it, but I can't in this case.
