Lee is wrong. A phosphor kicked LED gives a broad spectrum output.
The Luxeon Star from Lumiled has a blue peak at 450 nm, but is still giving 20% out in the red (650), and is only relatively (10%) deficient at the 390nm point. A 1 Watt Lumiled is a very pretty beast, with a forward drop of only around 2.5V. Steve |
