If you can afford a lawn with blades of grass that cost a few dollers each maybe you can afford to string in some wires from the AT89C51 and light some of those green LEDs in the place of those grass blades that go brown.

BTW...the picture is a GIF file and it is only 151812 bytes. It does load into the browser and expand to bitmap that is 442 pixels high and 12,000 pixels wide. In that space it was possible to show about 356 LEDs. Heck at standard 2 volt drop LEDs @ 10 ma of current that whole array shown there does not even draw 1 ampere from the 12 volt supply.
