is it really neccessary to be that arrogant to a newbie, who tries everything to get some simple help of us?
It's just this arrogance and ignorance I learned to hate so much, when I started doing electronics more than 25 years ago!
To focuse on reading a good basics book is ok, but consequently applying to this forum it means the death of it. There's always somewhere a good book explaining everything to everyone in very good detail. But the task of this forum is to give help, free help! And why is it to you so difficult to explain to a newbie the easiest thing? Did you never see how happy a simple help can make a newbie? Can you imagine how dismotivating such a recommendation is to a newbie, when he must hear from you: 'Hey stupid little boy, first read those hundred books, and then come back, if you are not dead already, ho, ho, ho.'?

Bullshit! It's the task to GIVE HELP, to MOTIVATE, to ENCOURAGE, to GIVE FUN, and if you are not ready to give this, just don't make a comment. But don't do it the way you did it.

Erik, you don't know how much I honour you, really. But relationship to absolute beginners and newbies looks to me some strange. It's not only help you give to them, but often punishment.
